Change of name?

A £136,000 initiative set up to increase the numbers of walkers and visitors on the Southern Upland Way (SUW) has been largely successful, according to a new report.

But a controversial suggestion from its author that the the 212-mile coast-to-coast walk from Portpatrick to Cockburnspath should be renamed the Scottish Upland Way, in a bid to attract more users, has been met with a lukewarm reception from a top tourism boss.
