Description We all completed the Eastern section (including the catch up),  the  vehicle support and the luggage transfer worked very smoothly.   All the accommodation providers were extremely hospitable and it was nice to stay in such contrasting places, but I must give a special  mention of Frances at Newark Farm in Sanquhar. She  drove us down to the restaurant each evening and provided us with rolls and fillings to make sandwiches each morning. She showed us round the farm and was a mine of information. We would have quite happily stayed there for the whole holiday.   The walking was fantastic which was helped by the fact that we had really good weather - we had one shower of rain and one of snow and managed to miss all the rest. One of the highlights for us was the new alternative route over Croft Head on the Moffat to Shorthope Section.   We really have appreciated all the work you did for us this year and last year to make our trip possible and so successful!   With many thanks   Kind regards   Janet
