Small family park on edge of Glentrool forest. Ideal for the Southern Upland Way, Galloway Dark Skies, cycling and walking. Pitches for tents (on grass), motor homes and touring vans or hire one of our self catering caravans. Quiet and relaxing in a beautiful unspoilt area of Scotland.

We are a Scottish Tourist Board Four Star Holiday Caravan Park with our facilities maintained to an excellent standard. Particularly suited to those requiring a totally relaxing situation away from the distractions of everyday life but with all the quality facilities you would expect from a premier Park.

Situated in South West Scotland, in the heart of Dumfries & Galloway and on the edge of the magnificent Galloway Forest Park (240 square miles of Forest, Mountains and Lochs), Glentrool Holiday Park offers peace and tranquility.

Dark Skies
Our park is possibly one of the best locations for the Galloway Forest Dark Sky experience. With no light pollution for miles, our skies are breathtakingly beautiful, whether you are a total amateur or an ardent stargazer.

It is an ideal base to explore over 200 miles of coastline dotted with numerous towns and villages of character, including Wigtown - Scotland's National Book Town, nearby Bladnoch Distillery and Whithorn Visitor centres, or visit the many famous gardens and collections, or indulge in numerous active activities available within the 'realm'.
