Description Dear Andrew. I have just about caught up with all my homework since returning back to Somerset after the most enjoyable walk. I am sure that I can speak for my brothers when I say "congratulations to you and your team for playing a big part in making this walk an excellent one". If every section of a walk was the same as the last would`nt it be boring? The Southern Upland Way has an excellent cross section of terrain, viewpoints, flora and fauna. we would recommend this walk to anyone as a long distance walk or by just being selective. Yes there are "wind farms" you either tolerate them or loath them, we included them in our photos and accepted them as part of the walk. The " Treasure Hunt" was also interesting even to us "olduns". We found that most Hotel, B and B's and Guest Houses were excellent, and some were prepared to go one step further to make our stay even more enjoyable. With this in mind would you consider including paperwork in the itinerary in the future that enables the walker to comment on accommodation? Marking them as "Excellent", "Very Good", "Good" or " Fair". We were very lucky with the weather, three ours of rain on the 1st May later in the walk a few snow flakes and hail storm for a few minutes, otherwise shirts and shorts all the way.
