• Terrain: Mostly good paths and tracks. Strong footwear is recommended and waterproofs are a wise precaution even in summer.

Route Description
From the car park walk downstream between the road and the river for about 200 yards before joining the Duns road. Turn left on the road and follow it up to “Toot Corner”, turn left here and follow the path to Edin’s Hall Broch. For a shorter walk you can retrace your steps back to the start or carry on along the path to Elba, where you cross the Whiteadder over a small suspension bridge. Go through the woodland, turn left on to the minor road and follow it up to Moorhouse. Leave the road on the left and follow the track down Edgar’s Cleugh to join the Southern Upland Way which will take you back to the start
