Route Description
1. Cross the bridge and cattle grid and walk W along the road to the SUW marker post on the R of the road. Follow the path as it passes behind Stroanpatrick farm climbing steadily. Negotiate several stiles over electric fences and a ladder stile crossing a dyke into an open tongue of land within the forest.

2. Cross over the forest track and onto the ridge leading onto Manquhill Hill. The path continues over the tree free ridge before a final steep drop onto the forest track, which it crosses and passes between two artificial lochans. The path then starts the climb up the slopes of Benbrack. A trig pillar marks the summit and a fence line runs across the broad grass top.

3. Return via outward route.

4. An alternative return route can be had by taking a L turn on the track after the lochans. This descends towards a track junction on a sweeping downhill curve leading to a bridge and metal gate. Pass through the gate following the track towards Cornharrow. Two more gates and a stile lead around the farm onto the service track which joins the B729 about 1 mile from Stroanfreggan Bridge. Turn R at the road to reach the start point.
