Route Description
1. Leave the Raiders Road picnic area, turn L following the road as it hugs the shores of Stroan Loch. As the road curls around the northern shore watch out for a path leading off R through mature trees. This path exits onto another forest track amongst the old ruins of the deserted hamlet of Clachrum. Once comprising of over thirty houses, many of the ruins can still be found buried in the trees. Turn R and R again at the next track junction.

2. Almost immediately turn L onto the track and shortly take the path off R almost enclosed by young trees. The path climbs along the W side of Ross Hill. On the descent look out for strange metal seats attached to the large trees. Take a rest and look down onto Stroan Loch and the Old Railway viaduct.

3. The path exits the forest directly opposite the picnic area.
