Route Description
1. Leave the car park and head under the road bridge and through the gate. Follow the obvious old railway track as it heads straight towards the forest where another gate allows access to an old cutting, now reclaimed by nature. After approximately 400 meters look for a path on the L which leads down to the River Dee.

2. Turn R and pass under the arches of the bridge into a picnic area situated at the south end of picturesque Stroan Loch. Exit onto the Raiders Road and turn R. Watch for a kissing gate on the R after about 1Km. A path winds its way back towards Mossdale joining the old railway about 200 meters W of the road bridge and just beyond the car park.
