Route Description
1. Leave car park, north along A762, 200 meters turn L into forest at Cairn Edward. Follow track straight ahead at junction. Within the trees on the L the remains of an old water mill can be found. Nature has almost reclaimed them and they are heavily overgrown. After approx 1Km track becomes metalled, turn L through gate into field. The track leads across the fields back into the forest where it immediately joins with a forest track. The ground to the N has been transformed into a small wildlife area, with ponds and open tree planting.

2. Turn L, and L again at the next two track junctions descending to the outbound track at Carrick Bungalow. Turn R for the A762 and start point.
