Notes: An alternative route to Cairnsmore, useful during lambing times (1st April to 28th May) when access is not advised from Green Well.

Route Description
1. Cars can be parked at the side of the track by Craigengillan. Follow the track uphill through forest. Cross over the old bridge and pass around Moorbrock Farm, fording the burn.

2. Take L following upward track which curves around Green Hill, then L to Clennoch Bothy. Cross the fields in front of the Bothy SW, negotiate the fledgling Bow Burn and climb SW over Craighorn onto Currie Rig, the N shoulder of Cairnsmore heading due S for the summit.

3. Descend SE into the Nick of the Lochans then around the N of Beninner Gairy keeping to the highest point of the watershed to regain the track at a broad break in the forest.

4. Turn R and retrace steps along track back to start point.
