Route Description
1. Walk up the Main Street and at the Mid Town cross roads, turn L onto the B7000.

2. Turn L at the next road junction, descending with splendid views of Earlstoun Loch, the Rhinns of Kells and Carsphairn Hills. Pass through the mixed woodland policies of Milton Park before emerging onto the A713 main road.

3. Cross over, turn L and follow the footpath back into the village.

4. For a slightly longer route, turn R, cross over the Allangibbon Bridge then turn L. After passing by the power station with its imposing salmon ladder the SUW leads L through a kissing gate just beyond the bungalow. Follow this path alongside the river, over the footbridge back into the village.
