Lornebank is a traditional Georgian house with a modern twist and a
little bit of luxury thrown in.
Here
you will find comfortable bedrooms with delightful extras, a relaxing
drawing room, where you can while away your time with a book or some music. Or
perhaps, you would rather experience a scrumptious afternoon cream tea in the
garden taverna.
Enjoy
a home cooked, locally produced breakfast at the family dining table before
setting off to wonder at the history and landscape of the beautiful Scottish
Borders. You may fancy a hamper lunch with homemade goodies to make your mouth
water. Just ask.
Lornebank is only a few minutes stroll to the local hostelries where excellent food
and service awaits you to end your day.
Everybody
is welcome at Lornebank. There are washing and drying facilities, a fridge with
inclusive welcome drinks, pet beds, information galore on the surrounding
countryside, including cycle and walking routes, golf and fishing and even
recommended motorcycle runs.
Our bedrooms are individually
furnished to a high standard and offer all the ammenities you would expect to
find in a first class hotel.
The drawing room and dining
room are comfortable, classic homely rooms for you to enjoy.
If you should arrive wet after
Walking, Biking, Fishing or Golfing, your wet clothes can be dried in a room
set aside for the purpose.
All
rooms are equipped with television, radio and hairdryer. Toiletries and a
refreshment tray are provided for your enjoyment. Rooms with private facilities
are provided with robes.
The
drawing room and garden are there for your use. You are welcome to use them
throughout the day and evening. There is a fire in the drawing room, and books
and magazines in the bookcase on the landing for guests use.
