A spacious double room within a unique Georgian Stable House, surrounded by acres of tranquil woodland and situated on the east coast of Loch Ken.

Accommodation comprises of a large double bedroom with kitchenette and dining area, a woodburning stove and private shower room.  Perfect for those looking to combine outdoor activities with relaxation, independence and stunning scenery.

A help yourself continental breakfast is included within the room price, offering a range of cereals, milk, fruit juice. Cooked breakfast and packed lunches can also be arranged at an extra cost.

The accommodation has been designed with a small kitchenette to suit those wishing to cook for themselves, we offer practical and cosy living with an emphasis on independence for our visitors, a separate entrance allows guests to come and go as they please.  As we are situated just 6 miles from the famous food town of Castle Douglas there are plenty of local specialities to be cooked up and sampled in the evenings.

There are endless activities to choose from in the immediate area, from adrenaline packed days at the Galloway Activity Centre to watching Red Kites hunt in their natural environment.  There are also many cycling and walking routes from the door to all around the Loch Ken area which are detailed in the rooms extensive welcome pack.  After a busy day, a sunset stroll along the banks of Loch Ken is strongly recommended, then of course a glass of wine by the woodburing stove! The TV has the usual freeview chanels and the room also contains a selection of books, boardgames and DVD's.

Make your stay extra interesting by pre-booking an on site Photography Workshop with resident professional Allan Wright for either 1 or 2 days of your stay, priced at £95.00 pp per day, details can be found at www.allanwrightphoto.com. In addition Massage and Pamper packages are also available to book from £32.00, and take place in the tranquil salon in the foot of the turret in the same building, please visit www.partonpampering.co.uk. There is also a Cafe and an Art Gallery across the courtyard offering alternative and healthy food, with art exhibitions changing on a regular basis.
