WHOLE WAY ITINERARIES
The SUW is often promoted as being 13 route sections from location to location and walkers should be advised that attempting the route in 13 days or less can prove difficult due to the long sections to and from Dalry (St John’s Town of Dalry). Walking the route in 13 days or less should only be attempted by more experienced long distance walkers.
Over the years a natural development has evolved which breaks down the two longer sections to and from Dalry into three days walking; this requires vehicle support from specific ‘Pick Up Points ’ and creates a two night stay in Dalry and therefore a 14 day walking itinerary.
Whilst every effort is made to create itineraries to suit most requirements we understand that individual needs and abilities may differ, we would therefore be delighted to assist anyone with specific requirements in creating a suitable itinerary.
